The community of Pachna will soon be electrified with alternative power supply, in three communities mobile generators were installed in the center of the village and in another three generators will be installed in a short period of time.
This was stated to CNA by EAC Spokesperson Christina Papadopoulou, when asked about the current situation with the electrification of the communities affected by the devastating fire in Limassol, as well as the recording of the damages.
As he told CNA, the EAC has recorded damage to 30% of the fire area and based on this, destruction of over 300 poles, 30 transformers, and a substation has been recorded.
He added that the Authority will soon electrify the community of Pachna from an alternative power supply, while three mobile generators have been installed in the centers of the villages of Vasa Koilaniou, Malia and Arsos.
Also, in a short period of time, he said, three more mobile generators will be installed in three other communities, which will be decided in a meeting currently being held with the Fire Department officials.
It should be noted that the communities in which there was an interruption in electricity supply due to the fire are: Agios Amvrosios, Agios Therapon, Alassa, Arsos, Doros, Kissousa, Kato Kivides, Kolossi, Malia, Pachna, Potamiou, Silikou, Sotira, Souni, Vasa Koilaniou, Vouni and Zanakia.
