The Meteorology Department issued a yellow warning for isolated but strong thunderstorms on Wednesday afternoon,
The warning is in effect from 11:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m. Thursday.
According to the announcement, isolated but strong storms are expected to affect the island, with rainfall intensity ranging between 35 and 55 millimeters per hour.
The Meteorological Service notes that hail may occur during the storms, while winds will be variable and at times strong.
