The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for high temperatures which will come into force at 12 noon and last until 16pm.

Detailed weather forecast

Seasonal low pressure and hot gas mass affect the area.

Today the weather will be mostly clear, although there will be locally increased low clouds at intervals along the western coast. Gradually, clouds that will develop in the mountains are expected to give isolated rains in the afternoon. The winds will blow southwest to northwest and initially locally to northeast weak and gradually to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the afternoon on the southeast coast to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be rough for a while, but will generally become rough later. The temperature will rise to around 41 degrees inland, around 33 on the west and south-west coasts, around 36 on the northern coast, around 35 on the rest of the coast and around 31 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight the weather will be mainly clear, without ruling out the possibility of locally increased low clouds on the coasts. Winds will gradually become downslope, light, 3 Beaufort and the sea will be calm to a little rough, but locally in the west it will remain a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 24 degrees inland, in the west, south-west and north coasts, around 25 on the rest of the coasts and around 22 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the weather will remain mostly clear, although there will be locally increased clouds on Saturday afternoon.

The temperature until Sunday will remain at approximately the same levels, while on Monday it will drop slightly, but will continue to fluctuate above the average climatic values.
