Pizzeria employees in Limassol experienced moments of terror in the early hours of Friday.
According to the Police, around 4:20 in the morning on Friday, a man wearing a hood went to a pizzeria and, after brandishing a pistol, forced two employees out of the premises.
He then detonated and threw an improvised incendiary object towards the restaurant which exploded and ignited.
The perpetrator got into a car parked on an adjacent street, driven by another person, also wearing a hood, and they left the scene.
It is noted that, a little later, the vehicle used by the two hooded men was found burnt in Kato Polemidia.
