The Cyprus issue and the creation of conditions that will contribute to the resumption of negotiations, Cyprus-US bilateral relations, energy issues, multilateral cooperation mechanisms, and other regional and international issues of common interest, will be at the center of the talks that Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulidis will have today, Tuesday, in Washington with his American counterpart Anthony Blinken.

Mr. Kasoulides is paying a working visit to the United States, following an invitation from Mr. Blinken, with whom he will meet at noon on Tuesday at the State Department.

In a statement, the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the two ministers are expected to focus on bilateral relations and the prospect of their further deepening in a wide range of areas, the Cyprus issue and the creation of conditions that will contribute to the resumption of negotiations, energy issues, the multilateral cooperation mechanisms with emphasis on the 3 + 1 format, as well as other regional and international issues of common interest.

In the afternoon of the same day, the Secretary of State will be received by the Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, and will then meet with the Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland. On Tuesday night, Mr. Kasoulidis will attend a dinner hosted in his honor by representatives of expatriate organizations.
