A 25-year-old Cypriot is being treated in critical condition in the ICU of Agios Savvas Hospital, who was transported by his friends yesterday afternoon to Ippokratio, after a cobra bite.
This incredible incident happened inside the apartment of the 25-year-old, when according to information from protothema.gr, he tried to feed the reptile, as a result of which he bit his hand.
According to the testimonies of his friends, the 25-year-old was hosting 17 snakes in his apartment in the center of Athens, some of which are poisonous and quite dangerous. When the young man was transported to Hippocrates he could hardly speak and shortly after he lost consciousness, only to regain them a little later.
At about 8.30 pm, Hippocrates' doctors decided that he had to be intubated because he could not breathe or swallow. Late last night he was rushed to the ICU of Agios Savvas Hospital. According to doctors of the hospital, the condition of the 25-year-old is characterized as critical.
