The Ministry of Health informs that, according to information received today by the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit from contracting laboratories, out of a total of 2,755 laboratory diagnoses, 11 new cases of the disease were identified. COVID-19.

Analytically, the virus-positive individuals emerged as follows:

Out of 1,619 samples taken as part of the passenger and repatriate control, 5 cases were identified.
Out of 125 samples taken through the process of tracking the contacts of already confirmed cases, 4 cases were identified.
Out of 621 samples taken through private initiative, 2 cases were identified.
In addition, the following laboratory tests were performed without detecting a case:

From samples taken from the Microbiological Laboratories of the General Hospitals, 166 laboratory diagnoses were performed,
From samples taken at roadblocks, 96 ​​laboratory tests were completed,
From the samples taken from the inhabitants of Kato Pyrgos Tillirias, 2 laboratory diagnoses were completed,
From a program carried out by the Ministry of Justice and Public Order for the control of the staff working in the Court premises, we had a result for 1 sample, and
From samples taken within the program of referrals by Personal Doctors and control of special groups through the Public Health Clinics, 125 laboratory examinations were completed.
Therefore, based on the data so far, the total number of cases is 1,467.

In addition, 4 patients are being treated in a ward at the Famagusta General Hospital COVID-19, while a patient is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of the reference hospital. He was discharged yesterday. A patient remains intubated in the Intensive Care Unit of the Nicosia General Hospital.
