The Ministry of Health announces that today, October 13, 2021:
- No deaths of patients with a final cause of death were recorded COVID-19, and therefore the total number of deaths remains 559.
- 63 patients COVID-19 of which 25 are in serious condition. 62,69% of patients do not have a history of vaccination.
- 10 post-COVID patients who have ceased to be infectious (declassified cases), continue to be treated intubated in a serious condition due to COVID in Intensive Care Units.
- A total of 46,145 disease detection tests have been performed by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid detection method (antigen rapid test).
- 142 (positivity rate: 0,31%) new cases of the disease COVID-19 detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid test (antigen rapid test), raising the total number of cases at 121,842.
The current results are detailed.
A. Deaths from the disease COVID-19:
No patient deaths were recorded with COVID-19. Therefore, the total number of deaths with the ultimate cause of the disease COVID-19 remains 559, of which:
354 men (63%), and
- 205 women (37%).
The average age of those who die from the disease is 76,2 years.
B. Patients:
In total, 63 patients of the disease are treated in the hospitals of OKYPY COVID-19, of which 25 in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 25 patients in serious condition, nine are intubated, two are admitted to an intravenous intensive care unit and 14 to an intensive care unit.

C. Positive incidents Covid-19 (PCR test and rapid antigen test):
Of the 46,145 diagnoses made, 4,548 were made by molecular method (PCR) and 41,597 by the method of antigen rapid test, 142 cases of the disease were identified. COVID-19, which emerged as follows:
- 35 cases from 375 samples taken through the process of tracking contacts of already confirmed cases.
- 2 cases of 2,170 samples taken as part of a passenger check at Larnaca and Paphos Airports.
- 28 cases from 1,590 samples taken through private initiative.
- 6 cases from 220 samples taken from the Microbiological Laboratories of the General Hospitals.
- 52 cases from 20,697 samples tested by the antigen rapid test method in private clinical laboratories and pharmacies.
- 19 cases from 20,900 samples examined by the method of antigen rapid test through the program of the Ministry of Health.
In addition, the following tests were performed, without detecting a case:
- 193 samples taken under the program of referrals by Personal Physicians and control of special groups through the Public Health Clinics.
