A 22-year-old man was detained for three days for a case of illegal possession of property, in order to facilitate the investigations of TAE Paphos.

According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos, Michalis Ioannou, following relevant information, members of the Polis Chrysochous police station conducted a search on Sunday with the written consent of the 22-year-old driver, who was parked in a rural area in the village of Lysos in the province.

During the search of the car luggage area, a metal church bar was found, inside which there were various coins.

As it turned out, this particular bar was violated at the coin reception area. The 22-year-old was arrested for the self-inflicted crime of illegal possession of property.

The young man allegedly did not cooperate with the Police, not mentioning where he found the specific bar, while he was transferred to the Polis Chrysochous police station, where he was arrested.

The 22-year-old was taken yesterday to the Paphos District Court, which issued a three-day detention order against him. An effort is being made to locate the church from which the specific bar was stolen.

Investigations into the case are being continued by the P. Chrysochous police station.
