CYPRUS: 3 deaths and 3.329 new cases

The announcement of the Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health announces that today, March 25 2022:

  • They were announced 3 deaths
  • Concern in:
  • A 69-year-old man who died on March 25, 2022
  • A 76-year-old man who died on March 25, 2022
  • A 80-year-old man who died on March 25, 2022

Total number of deaths with final cause of the disease COVID-19: 925.

  • 151 patients Covid-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals
  • 20 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of ventilator / 6 intubated, MAF: 14)
  • Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 52,32%
  • 19 patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated intubated due to Covid in an Intensive Care Unit.

 

Diagnostic examinations:

  • They took place in total 45.788 diagnostic examinations
  • They were spotted 3.329 new cases (set of cases 400.534).
  • Position rate in all exams 7,27%

 

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

  • They took place 2.749 molecular tests
  • They arose  172 positive incidents
  • Percentage of positivity 6,26%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (fast Test):

  • They were carried out 43.039 rapid antigen detection tests
  • They arose 3.157 positive incidents
  • Percentage of positivity 7,34%

 

 Tracking:

  • They were carried out 1.013 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 142 positive events (percentage of positivity 14,02%)

Private initiative:

  • They were carried out 881 molecular tests were identified 138 positive events (percentage of positivity 15,66%)
  • They were carried out 19.838 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 1.461 positive events (percentage of positivity 7,36%)

 

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health were carried out 23.201 rapid antigen detection test. They were located 1.696 positive incidents.

 

  • Sampling points: 21.239 rapid detection tests were detected 1.523 positive events (percentage of positivity 7,17%)

 

Education

  • Test-to-STAY: were carried out 54 rapid antigen detection tests and detected positive events (percentage of positivity 3,7%)
  • Special Schools: conducted 33 rapid antigen detection test and no positive cases detected (positivity rate 0%)

Other

  • Nursing homes: conducted 604 rapid antigen detection tests were detected  29 positive events (percentage of positivity 4,8%)

Closed structures: carried out 258 rapid antigen detection test and no new cases detected (percentage of positivity 0%).
