CYPRUS: 4 deaths and over 4,7 thousand cases were announced

153 patients COVID-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals, of which 23 are in serious condition

Corona Virus

The Ministry of Health announces that today, March 23 2022:

- They were announced 4 deaths

- Relate to:

- A man, 70 years old, who died on March 23, 2022

- Woman, aged 72, who died on March 23, 2022

- Woman, aged 89, who died on March 21, 2022

- Woman, aged 86, who died on March 20, 2022

Total number of deaths with final cause of the disease COVID-19: 922.

-       153 patients COVID-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals

-       23 in serious condition (ICU: 0 out of ventilator / 7 intubated, MAF: 16)

- Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 52,32%

-       21 Patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated intubated for COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic examinations:

- They took place in total 83.366 diagnostic examinations

- They were located 4.704 new cases (set of cases 392.019).

- Position rate in all exams 5,64%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

- They took place 4.193 molecular tests

- They emerged  467positive incidents

- Position of positivity 11,14%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (fastTest):

- They were carried out 79.173 rapid antigen detection tests

- They emerged 4.237 positive incidents

- Position of positivity 5,35%

Tracking:

- They were carried out 592 molecular tests and were detected  95 positive events (percentage of positivity 16,05%)

- They were carried out 904 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 111 positive events (percentage of positivity 12,28%)

Private initiative:

- They were carried out 1.641 molecular tests were identified 319 positive events (percentage of positivity 19,44%)

- They were carried out 35.005 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 2.510 positive events (percentage of positivity 7,17%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health were carried out 44.168 rapid antigen detection test. They were located 1.727 positive incidents.

- Sampling points: 21.720 rapid detection tests were detected 1.372 positive events (percentage of positivity 6,32%)

Education

- Secondary Education: 10.149 rapid detection tests were detected  97 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,96%)

- Test-to-Stay: performed 7.005 rapid antigen detection tests and detected  95 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,36%)

- Special Schools: conducted 612 rapid antigen detection tests and detected   3 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,49%)

Other

- Nursing homes: conducted 1.559 rapid antigen detection tests were detected  38 positive events (percentage of positivity 2,44%)

- Closed structures: carried out 2.219 rapid antigen detection tests were detected  11 new incidents (percentage of positivity 0,5%).
