A 70-year-old resident of Nicosia, who was injured in a road accident that occurred yesterday, in the province of Larnaca, is being treated at the Nicosia General Hospital in serious condition.
The accident happened yesterday, around 2 pm, on the road Agia Anna - Psevda, when a car driven by a 35-year-old, under conditions under investigation, dragged and injured the 70-year-old, who was trying to cross the road on foot.
The 70-year-old was injured and taken to Larnaca General Hospital. He was found to have suffered a fracture of his right leg and bleeding in the brain. Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was admitted to the General Hospital of Nicosia, where he underwent surgery. He was then detained for treatment, intubated in the Intensive Care Unit.
