CYPRUS: Two new deaths and over 5 thousand cases

128 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of which 21 are in serious condition

Corona Virus

The Ministry of Health announces that today, March 29 2022:

- They were announced 2 deaths

- Relate to:

  • A 76-year-old man who died on March 29
  • A woman, 88 years old, who passed away on March 29

- Total number of deaths with final cause of the disease COVID-19: 932.

-       182 patients COVID-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals

-       21 in serious condition (ICU: 1 out of ventilator / 4 intubated, MAF: 16)

- Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 54,95%

-       21 Patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated intubated for COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic examinations:

- They took place in total 95.315 diagnostic examinations

- They were located 5.089 new cases (set of cases 421.603).

- Position rate in all exams 5,34%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

- They took place 4.344 molecular tests

- They emerged 522positive incidents

- Position of positivity 12,02%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (fastTest):

- They were carried out 90.971 rapid antigen detection tests

- They emerged 4.567 positive incidents

- Position of positivity 5,02%

Tracking:

- They were carried out 482 molecular tests and were detected 101 positive events (percentage of positivity 20,95%)

- They were carried out 851 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 106 positive events (percentage of positivity 12,46%)

Private initiative:

- They were carried out 1.696 molecular tests were identified 309 positive events (percentage of positivity 18,22%)

- They were carried out 35.896 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 2.890 positive events (percentage of positivity 8,05%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health were carried out 55.075 rapid antigen detection test. They were located 1.677 positive incidents.

- Sampling points: 17.809 rapid detection tests were detected 1.195 positive events (percentage of positivity 6,71%)

Education

- Primary Education: 18.505 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 148 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,8%)

- Secondary Education: 9.846 rapid detection tests were detected 91 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,92%)

- Test-to-Stay: performed 5.982 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 98 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,64%)

Other

- Nursing homes: conducted 1.117 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 26 positive events (percentage of positivity 2,33%)

- Closed structures: carried out 369 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 6 new incidents (percentage of positivity 1,63%).

- Government Services: performed 596 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 7 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,17%)
