CYPRUS: Two 66-year-olds “passed away” - 3 deaths in total and over 2.600 cases

181 patients with coronavirus are hospitalized, of which 43 are in serious condition

Corona Virus

The Ministry of Health announces that today, February 15 2022:

- They were announced 3 deaths

- Relate to:

  • An 79-year-old man who died on February 14
  • An 66-year-old man who died on February 14
  • A woman, 66 years old, who passed away on February 15

- Total number of deaths with final cause of the disease COVID-19: 791.

-       181 patients COVID-19 are hospitalized in OKYPY hospitals

-       43 in serious condition (0 in ICU / 13 intubated, 30 in MAF)

- Percentage of patients without a history of vaccination: 69,62%

-       31 Patients who have ceased to be infectious continue to be treated intubated for COVID in an Intensive Care Unit.

Diagnostic examinations:

- They took place in total 104.708 diagnostic examinations

- They were located 2.646 new cases (set of cases 295.686).

- Position rate in all exams 2,53%

Total number of molecular tests (PCR):

- They took place 7.174 molecular tests

- They emerged 449positive incidents

- Position of positivity 6,26%

Total number of rapid antigen detection tests (fastTest):

- They were carried out 97.534 rapid antigen detection tests

- They emerged 2.197 positive incidents

- Position of positivity 2,25%

Tracking:

- They were carried out 510 molecular tests and were detected 89 positive events (percentage of positivity 17,45%)

- They were carried out 1.022 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 59 positive events (percentage of positivity 5,77%)

Private initiative:

- They were carried out 2.014 molecular tests were identified 267 positive events (percentage of positivity 13,26%)

- They were carried out 39.711 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 1.310 positive events (percentage of positivity 3,3%)

Through the programs of the Ministry of Health were carried out 57.823 rapid antigen detection test. They were located 887 positive incidents.

- Sampling points: 16.137 rapid detection tests were detected 464 positive events (percentage of positivity 2,88%)

Education

- Primary Education: 20.638 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 151 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,73%)

- Secondary Education: 12.225 rapid detection tests were detected 105 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,86%)

- Test-to-Stay: performed 5.386 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 82 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,52%)

Other

- Nursing homes: conducted 1.245 rapid antigen detection tests were detected  20 positive events (percentage of positivity 1,61%)

- Closed structures: carried out 149 rapid antigen detection tests were detected 2 new incidents (percentage of positivity 1,34%).

- Government Services: performed 1.021 rapid antigen detection tests and detected 4 positive events (percentage of positivity 0,39%)
