The Ministry of Health announces that today, April 4, 2021:
- No deaths of patients with a final cause of death were recorded today COVID-19, and therefore the total number of deaths remains 261.
- 210 patients COVID-19 48 of whom are in serious condition.
- A total of 54,842 disease detection tests have been performed by the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid detection method (antigen rapid test).
- 431 (positivity rate: 0,79%) new cases of the disease COVID-19 detected by molecular tests (PCR) and antigen rapid test (antigen rapid test), raising the total number of cases at 47,713.
The current results are detailed.
A. Deaths from the disease COVID-19:
No patient deaths were recorded today with COVID-19. Therefore, the total number of deaths with the ultimate cause of the disease COVID-19 remains 261, of which:
173 men (66%), and
- 88 women (34%).
The average age of those who die from the disease is 79 years.
B. Patients:
In total, 210 patients of the disease are treated in the hospitals of OKYPY COVID-19, of which 48 in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 48 patients who are critical, 24 are intubated, four are admitted to an intravenous intensive care unit and 20 to an intensive care unit.

C. Positive incidents Covid-19 (PCR test and rapid antigen test):
Of the 54,842 diagnoses made today, 2,898 were made by molecular method (PCR) and 51,944 by antigen rapid test, 431 cases of the disease were identified. COVID-19, which emerged as follows:
- 84 cases from 1,164 samples taken through the process of tracking contacts of already confirmed cases.
- 28 cases from 1,159 samples taken through private initiative.
- 3 cases from 105 samples taken from the Microbiological Laboratories of the General Hospitals.
- 2 cases from 470 samples received under the program of referrals by Personal Physicians and control of special groups through the Public Health Clinics.
- 2 cases from 101 samples tested by the antigen rapid test method in private clinical laboratories and pharmacies.
- 312 cases from 51,843 samples tested by the antigen rapid test method.
