Paphos Police are investigating a case of assault with causing real bodily harm, anxiety and malicious damage against a 40-year-old man.

According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos, Michalis Ioannou, yesterday at 09:00 in the morning, it was reported at the Pegeia police station, by a 78-year-old resident of Pegeia, that around 08:15 while he was with his 53-year-old son at their residence in Pegeia dog entered their yard.

The complainant knew the owner of the dog and called him to pick him up. According to the complaint, the owner of the dog, 40 years old, went to the address of the complainant and upon his arrival her son asked him to be more careful with the care of his dog. The 40-year-old then allegedly attacked and pushed the 53-year-old on the railing that was in the yard of his house, with the result that this fell and the 53-year-old fell from a height of about 1,5 meters.

An ambulance was called to the scene and transported the 53-year-old to the Accident and Emergency Department of Paphos General Hospital, where the doctor on duty diagnosed him with a broken rib, left key fracture and abrasions on other parts of his body and was taken to hospital. Paphos. An arrest warrant was issued against the 40-year-old, but he has not been located and is wanted.

Investigations into the case are ongoing.
