  • Out of 394 samples taken through the process of tracking the contacts of already confirmed cases, 31 cases were identified.
  • Out of 2,187 samples taken through private initiative, 81 cases were identified.
  • From 128 samples taken from the Microbiological Laboratories of the General Hospitals, 2 cases were identified.
  • From 268 samples taken under the program of referrals by Personal Physicians and control of special groups through the Public Health Clinics, 9 cases were identified.
  • Out of 1,085 samples taken as part of the passenger and repatriate control, 5 cases were identified.
  • Out of 22 samples taken under the control program of students, teachers and school staff, 2 cases were identified

In addition, the following laboratory tests were performed without detecting a case:

  • From samples taken as part of the laboratory testing program carried out in nursing homes and other structures, 105 laboratory diagnoses were completed,
  • From samples taken under the Immigrant Structures Control Program, 91 laboratory tests were completed, and
  • From samples taken in the context of sampling carried out by the KOP in Associations participating in its events, 5 laboratory diagnoses were completed.

Therefore, based on the data so far, the total number of cases is 3,444.

In addition, the Famagusta General Hospital treats 23 people positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, four of whom are in the Intensive Care Unit.
