According to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos, Michalis Ioannou, on 25.12.21, a burglary took place at a Payment Systems Planning Office in Polis Chrysochous, following a relevant complaint made to the local station by the owner. According to the complainant, Mr. Ioannou said a server worth 10.000 euros, a laptop worth 500 euros, a sum of 40 euros, a battery drum worth 50 euros, a DJ console worth 500 euros were stolen from the above Office. all with a total value of about 11.000 euros.

After the complaint, members of the Polis Chrysochous police station and members of the Paphos Crime Detection Department visited the scene and from on-site examinations they found that the entrance to the Office was achieved after removing the lock with a sharp object.

From the scene, Mr. Ioannou continued, various items were received which were sent for scientific examinations. During the interrogations and investigations that took place for this case, a testimony was found against a 38-year-old person, a permanent resident of Polis Chrysochous.

An arrest warrant was issued against him, he was arrested and remanded in custody. A search of his apartment turned up a quantity of drugs.

The case is being investigated by the Paphos Police Department, the Polis Chrysochous police station in collaboration with YKAN (Paphos Branch).
