An attempted murder against a 47-year-old man was committed on Thursday morning in the Larnaca district, without him being injured by the gunfire he received from an unknown person riding a moped, while the Police are conducting investigations in the area with the assistance of a helicopter and a drone.
According to a statement from the Police Communications Branch, at around 11.30 in the morning, "based on the information currently under investigation, while the 47-year-old was riding a bicycle in the Dromolaxia Industrial Area, it appears that he was shot multiple times by an unknown person riding a moped of unknown origin. The 47-year-old was not injured in the shooting and immediately informed the Police."
"Members of the Larnaca Police Department and the Larnaca TAE rushed to the scene, who sealed off the scene and are currently conducting examinations. Members of the MMAD and the YPEGE of the Police Headquarters are participating in the investigations, while a MAEP helicopter and an unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) of the Department of Technological Development are assisting."
