Members of the Police were called around 9 last night to go to the scene of a road collision in an area of Larnaca, in which a total of five cars were involved.
According to the evidence under review, the road collision was caused when a 57-year-old driver, under circumstances that are being investigated, collided with the rear of a parked vehicle.
Then followed collisions with three more vehicles, as a result of which the 57-year-old and two other persons were transported by ambulance to the Larnaca General Hospital.
After receiving first aid, the two persons were discharged, while the 57-year-old, who suffered a broken arm, was detained for further treatment.
The 57-year-old driver was breathalyzed, with a final reading of 145μg instead of 22μg.
Larnaca Traffic Police continues the examinations.
