The Police were mobilized in the morning after the detection of a defensive grenade in a usable condition, outside a building, specifically in the engine room, in the area of Germasogeia.
According to the first information from the Police, it is a defensive grenade, which was found in the morning by private guards of a company of Russian interests, whose offices are housed in the building where the explosive device was found.
The workers in the offices and shops of the building were evacuated for precautionary reasons and the area was cordoned off by members of the Police who rushed to the spot.
The grenade, which is in usable condition, has been received by the Police for examination.
The investigations of the members of TAE Limassol are ongoing.
