A case of sudden death of a 52-year-old man is being investigated by the Police in Limassol. The man was found unconscious in the Enaerio area on Christmas night.
According to the Police, the 52-year-old is from Georgia, and was residing illegally in Cyprus. He was found unconscious shortly after 21.00 yesterday in an open area in the Enaerio area.
He was taken to the Limassol General Hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced dead. According to the Police, a prima facie criminal act has been ruled out, and the man allegedly had previously consumed a large amount of alcohol.
The exact cause of death is expected to be revealed in the scheduled autopsy which will be carried out at a later stage, while the Police investigations continue.
