A large fire in a livestock unit in Xylotympou, occurred around ten last night. The authorities of the British Bases of Dhekelia rushed to the area with two fire trucks to extinguish the fire, while they asked for the help of the Republic of Cyprus, which responded with two fire trucks from Oroklini and Xylofagou stations.
A total of ten firefighters from the British Bases and the Fire Service were thrown into the battle with the flames, while the fire burned hay bales and equipment of the livestock unit.
The British Bases, by posting on their twitter account, thank the Fire Department.
