His intention to run as an independent President of the Republic of Cyprus in the 2023 Presidential elections was announced by lawyer Marios Iliadis.

He stressed that his candidacy is independent, while at this stage he informs the political parties about his intention.
Mr. Iliadis pointed out that his staff is working to present a program that will satisfy the Cypriot society.
It is recalled that Marios Iliadis was appointed Minister of Communications and Works in the government of Spyros Kyprianou 1978, a position he held until September 9, 1980.
