In the last 160 hours, the Police proceeded with 24 complaints of citizens and three owners of premises for violation of the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus disease.
In statements to KYPE, a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated that from 6.00 on Tuesday morning until 6.00 am today, 11.203 checks were carried out.
In terms of provincial inspections, 2.538 inspections were carried out in Nicosia, resulting in 19 complaints from citizens and an establishment, while in Limassol, 2.345 inspections were carried out with 74 complaints from citizens.
In Larnaca, 1.473 inspections were carried out with 20 complaints from citizens and one property, in Paphos 1.522 inspections were carried out with 24 complaints from citizens and one estate, in Famagusta 1.330 inspections were carried out with 12 complaints from citizens and in the Morfos area 1.250 inspections were carried out with six complaints from citizens.
Also, throughout Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 680 inspections, from which 5 complaints of citizens emerged, while the Port and Maritime Police carried out 65 inspections, without any complaint.
