A 71-year-old man is being treated at Nicosia General Hospital, who was injured in a new road collision that happened yesterday in Limassol. A 28-year-old motorcycle driver was also slightly injured in the collision.

The collision happened around 12.30pm. yesterday, on Archiepiskopou Makariou Street '71, in Limassol. Under circumstances that are being investigated, in the attempt of the 28-year-old to cross the road on foot, he was carried away by the motorcycle, driven by the 71-year-old. Both the 28-year-old and the XNUMX-year-old were injured and taken to Limassol General Hospital.

As it was established, the 71-year-old suffered, among other things, cerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage and craniocerebral injury. After being intubated, he was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was kept for treatment.

The 28-year-old suffered minor injuries and after being given first aid he was discharged.

The causes of the collision are being investigated by the Limassol Traffic Police.
