The investigation of the cases of sexual harassment is being continued by the special unit of the Police at a fast pace, said to KYPE the Officer of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, Sergeant Eleni Konstantinou.
Answering a question, Ms. Konstantinou said that a total of 27 cases have been investigated or are being investigated by the special police investigation team, of which 14 have been registered before the Court for trial, eight are under investigation, one of which is expected to be sent to the Legal Service in the coming days for further instructions on how to handle it further.
"The rest are being investigated and we are still collecting testimonies and taking statements. Some of these cases, which are under investigation, are nearing completion and are expected to be registered. "Five other cases are in the Legal Service for study and instructions", he added.
Concluding, Ms. Konstantinou said that these are very serious offenses and the public is called to have confidence in the Police and the manipulations that are done and in case it comes to the perception of anything about such serious cases to inform the Police immediately and to make complaints, "the which, we reiterate, are being investigated with all confidentiality and are being treated confidentially by the investigative team ".
