The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that following the meeting of the Council of Ministers, today, Sunday 15 March 2020, the Freight Passenger Transport Companies with fare per passenger will transport passengers equal to 50% of the capacity of their vehicles.
In addition, this measure extends to all public transport, ie shuttle services to and from airports, tourist buses, private taxi buses (urban / rural / intercity) and car rental companies.
Passengers and transport companies are kindly requested to apply the above measure immediately.
It is noted that the Ministry has already given instructions for taking measures related to the protection of passengers and employees and contain preventive measures for people and cleaning / disinfection of vehicles.
Regarding the disinfection of all public transport, it has started from last week, following instructions of the Ministry and until Tuesday 17/03/2020, all the above means must have been secured and applied on vehicles, relevant Disinfection Certificate. This Certificate, which will state the date of disinfection as well as its duration, should be posted in a visible place inside the vehicle so that it can be read externally by the user.
Finally, it is emphasized that a vehicle that from 18/03/2020 does not have the above Disinfection Certificate can not provide the appropriate licensed service.
