The electronic submission of applications through the Government Portal (www.gov.cy), in the thematic section "Military Recruitment" Conscription - Application for Recruitment of Contractual Soldiers (CY.OP.), is extended until Friday, July 04, at 14:00, according to the Ministry of Defense.
As stated in a Ministry announcement, for more information, questions, assistance in completing the application or in cases of error or inability to submit the required supporting documents, interested parties can consult the instructions below for the electronic submission of data for a SYOP recruitment application or contact the Service Center for Conscripts and Citizens of the Ministry of Defense daily from 08:00 to 15:00, on working days, at the contact number 1430 or at the email address: syop@mod.gov.cy.
It is noted that in order to complete the electronic application, the applicant must be a registered and identified user on the Government Portal. https://www.gov.cy/gr/Profile identification for citizens (Natural Persons) can be done through electronic banks (eBanking), by personal on-site visit to Identification Centers, presenting an identity card, by appointment, and via video call with KEP officers, by appointment.
It is added that upon completion of the application process, candidates will undergo an athletic test to determine their physical condition and a military test to determine their combat capability.
The tests will take place on July 15, 16 and 17 and candidates will be contacted via email and SMS for further information.
