Unemployment 6,6%
Based on the results of the Labor Force Survey for the first quarter of 1, the labor force amounted to 2022 people or 474.631% of the population (men 64,3%, women 70,6%) compared to 58,6 people (453.638, 62,2%) in the corresponding quarter of 2021 (Table 1).
The number of employees was 443.327 people and the employment rate 60,1% (men 66,3%, women 54,4%) compared to 414.668 people (56,8%) in the corresponding quarter of 2021.
The number of unemployed amounted to 31.305 people and the unemployment rate to 6,6% of the workforce (men 6,1%, women 7,1%) compared to 38.970 people (8,6%) in the corresponding quarter of 2021.

In the ages 20-64 the employment rate was 77,3%. The percentage for men was 83,6% and for women 71,3%. In the corresponding quarter of 2021 the percentage was 73,5% (men 79,7%, women 67,7%). At the ages 55-64 the employment rate was 63,6% compared to 60,1% in the corresponding quarter of 2021.
According to the distribution of employment by sector, the largest percentage of employees is collected by the Services with 80,4%, followed by Industry and Georgia with percentages of 17,2% and 2,4% respectively. For the 1st quarter of 2021 the respective percentages were: Services 77,3%, Industry 19,3% and Agriculture 3,4%.
Part-time employment accounted for 10,8% of total employment or 47.929 people (men 8,7%, women 13,2%). The corresponding percentage for the first quarter of 1 was 2021% (men 12,3%, women 10,8%).
Of the total number of employees, 88,9% or 393.913 people were employees, of which 11,5% (45.273 people) had temporary work. In the corresponding quarter of 2021, employees accounted for 87,5% of total employment and of these, 13,2% had temporary work.
Unemployment (Table 3)
Unemployment among young people aged 15-24 was 17,7% of the labor force of these ages (men 19,3%, women 16,2%) compared to 19,5% (men 25,3%, women 12,8 , XNUMX%) in the corresponding quarter of last year.
Regarding the duration of unemployment, 50,7% of the total unemployed were looking for work for a period of less than 6 months, 15,0% for a period of 6-11 months, while 34,3% were long-term unemployed. The corresponding percentages for the first quarter of 1 were 2021%, 42,4% and 25,3%.
