The weather phenomena of the "Byron" system will continue somewhat weaker in the coming days, with rainfall that is expected to produce a significant volume of water, especially on Wednesday morning, according to what Matthew Papadakis, Senior Officer of the Cyprus Meteorological Service, told CNA.
Mr. Papadakis said that, from the data resulting from the Meteorological Service's forecast systems so far, there are several clouds that are expected to produce a significant amount of rain during the day and until Wednesday, although the weather phenomena will be weakened and it will be more difficult for storms to develop.
When asked whether the phenomena are expected to be more intense on the coast, compared to the interior, he replied that rains will also occur inland, but added that in the evening hours they may be more intense on the coast.
“The data shows that on Wednesday morning we will have a sufficient volume of water,” said Mr. Papadakis. “We are still studying the data, but it seems that the weather will improve on Thursday,” he added. He noted that there may be some rain on Thursday, but not like the ones expected on Wednesday.
