Around 6.40:63 yesterday evening, a 28-year-old man while driving his car on Leontiou A' Street in Limassol, allegedly failed to stop at a red light-controlled pedestrian crossing signal, as a result of which he ran over a XNUMX-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the road.
The 63-year-old continued on his way and left the scene. He was found a little later and taken to Limassol Traffic, where he underwent a final alcohol test with a final reading of 41μg% instead of 22μg%, which is the legal limit.
The 28-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to the Limassol General Hospital, where it was found that she has a slight head injury and was kept as a precaution for further hospitalization.
The 63-year-old is expected to be accused in writing today and to be summoned later before the Court.
