The Police have arrested a 49-year-old man, in the context of investigating a case of injury to a 34-year-old woman, committed on December 02, in the Limassol district. The Episkopi Police Station is investigating the case.
According to the information under investigation and the complaint submitted by the 34-year-old to the Police, on December 02, around 4.00:34 in the morning, the 49-year-old woman was at her residence, together with her roommate and the 5.00-year-old, to eat. While they also consumed alcoholic beverages, at 49:34 a.m., the XNUMX-year-old man got into his car to leave, with the XNUMX-year-old woman trying to convince him not to drive the vehicle after he had consumed alcoholic beverages.
While the 34-year-old woman was standing in front of his car, the 49-year-old man allegedly started the vehicle, as a result of which he hit her and she fell to the ground. The 49-year-old then allegedly reversed his vehicle, hitting the 34-year-old again, while she was still on the ground.
The 49-year-old man left the scene, while the 34-year-old woman was taken by an ambulance crew to the Limassol General Hospital, where it was found from the medical examinations that she had a fracture in her right leg. She received treatment and was discharged the same day.
A judicial arrest warrant was issued against the 49-year-old, under which he was arrested shortly before 6.30:XNUMX yesterday afternoon, by members of the Limassol Police Department and taken into custody, for the purpose of investigating the case.
