The Cybercrime Sub-Directorate of the Headquarters has received complaints in recent days regarding a fraudulent message circulating with the sender being the Cyprus Post.
The message in question states:
Cyprus Post: Your parcel has arrived at the warehouse but cannot be delivered due to an incomplete address. Update your shipping details to receive a shipping refund and hassle-free delivery. Click on the link below to make changes. Repair within 12 hours to avoid unnecessary losses!
This message does not come from Cyprus Post and is a fraud attempt.
Please do not follow the link and do not provide any personal information.
For any issue with your shipments, please contact Cyprus Post directly through their official channels.
Also, false messages regarding extrajudicial payments continue.
The Cyprus Police (Electronic Crime Sub-Directorate) is receiving complaints about false messages via Social Media and SMS, in which citizens are invited to pay extrajudicial fines for traffic violations.
The perpetrators' goal: To deceive you and extort money or personal information.
