The Department of Meteorology issued a new Yellow Warning for storms from 1300 to 1630 today.
"Isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect the outlook mainly in the mountainous and southern areas," it is reported.
The intensity of the rain locally, it is added, "is likely to exceed 35 millimeters per hour, while hail may also fall."
