The Police are investigating the circumstances under which Eleni Pekri, aged 56, formerly of Lakatamia, died.
Specifically, around 8.30:56 on Monday morning, the car driven by the 34-year-old woman, on the Nicosia-Limessos highway, after the Alhambra exit, under circumstances that are being investigated, collided with the car driven by a XNUMX-year-old man.
Members of the Police rushed to the scene for examinations, as well as members of the Fire Service, with whose intervention, the 56-year-old woman was freed from her vehicle.
The 56-year-old woman was taken by an ambulance crew to Nicosia General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The 34-year-old was also taken to Nicosia General Hospital, who received first aid and was discharged.
