New tragedy on the asphalt: The 41-year-old driver of the dog truck succumbed to his injuries

Giorgos Filippou, 41 years old from Limassol, driver of the dog truck, who was involved in a road collision on the Nicosia - Limassol highway, despite the Monastery in Limassol, succumbed to his injuries.

In particular, the unfortunate Filippou was intubated in a critical condition in a private hospital in Nicosia.

The traffic accident occurred shortly after midnight on September 2, 2024, on the Limassol-Nicosia highway, shortly before the Moni exit, when a dog-cart driven by the 41-year-old crashed into the road divider. Subsequently, the vehicle overturned and, after being dragged for several meters, came to rest on the median dividing island.

The Monastery Police Station continues the examinations.
