New overnight works begin tonight on the Limassol-Nicosia highway, during which the section of the highway from Muttayaka to Moni will be closed. Overnight work also at the entrance to Nicosia up to the junction with the Nicosia - Larnaca highway.

According to an announcement by the Department of Public Works, from 21:00 p.m. today until 6.00:XNUMX a.m. Thursday, on the section of the Limassol-Nicosia highway, from Muttayaka to Moni, local road repair work will be carried out. During the works, both lanes of the highway in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia will be partially closed for a distance of approximately three kilometers and traffic will be diverted to the two-way lanes of the highway to Limassol.

Also, today, new overnight works will be carried out on the Nicosia-Limessos highway, in the section consisting of six traffic lanes, from the Kalamon roundabout, at the entrance to Nicosia, to the exit to Agia Varvara. According to the announcement, the works will be carried out from 21.00, until 2.00 the next morning, to clean the pavement of the central lane of the highway, as well as to maintain the trees on the central dividing island.

As stated in the announcement, a sweeper will be used accompanied by two vehicles with light signaling and a police patrol car, for the safety of the workers and passing drivers.

Overnight works on the Nicosia-Limesos highway, in the section consisting of six traffic lanes, from the Nicosia entrance to its junction with the Nicosia-Larnaca highway, have been ongoing since last Monday and will continue until Friday, July 19. to replace parapets in the central dividing island. The works are carried out from 21.00 until 5.00 the next morning, every day, except for the weekend. During the work, according to a statement from the Department of Public Works, traffic is diverted to the two left lanes of the highway.

The Police recommends caution to passing vehicle drivers, who are asked to drive at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles in front, and comply with temporary road markings in the area of ​​road works.
