A 57-year-old resident of a village in the district of Paphos, who fell from a height, was found dead in the early hours of Monday.
According to the Spokesperson of the Office of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters around 00:40 on Monday, a 57-year-old man was found unconscious by his wife outside his residence, under a four-meter-high balcony.
An ambulance was called to the scene where it transported the 57-year-old to the Accident and Emergency Department of the General Hospital of Paphos where, according to the doctor on duty, he was pronounced dead.
Members of the Police subsequently went to the scene, carried out on-site examinations and it was established that the 57-year-old fell from the balcony of his residence, located on the first floor.
An autopsy is expected on his body in order to determine the cause of his death.
