The complaint of nine citizens and nine premises for violation of the Decrees, was made by the Police in the last 24 hours, while, with the instructions of the Chief of Police, the operation of a premises in Limassol was suspended.

As stated in KYPE, a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, in the last 24 hours (6 am yesterday Saturday 15/01/22 - 6 am today Sunday 16/01/22) 1.781 pan-Cypriot checks were carried out, of which 1.090 concerned safepass checks, while a total of 9 complaints were made by citizens and 9 complaints by premises for violation of the measures.

In addition, yesterday, on the instructions of the Chief of Police, the Police issued a notice banning the operation of a property in Limassol.

Regarding the inspections by province, in Nicosia 291 inspections were carried out, out of which 3 complaints of premises were made, in Limassol 276 inspections were carried out, out of which 1 citizen and 1 property were registered and in Larnaca 503 inspections were carried out, out of which 1 complaint was estate.

Also, in Paphos, 110 inspections were carried out, from which 4 complaints of premises and 4 citizens emerged, and in Famagusta, 296 were carried out, from which 4 complaints of citizens and one building emerged.

In the area of ​​Morfos, 176 inspections were carried out, from which 1 complaint of a property emerged.

Also, all over Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 126 inspections, without any complaint, while at the Ports and Airports, 3 inspections were carried out without any complaint.

Regarding the complaints of citizens, the majority of the complaints concerned the non-use of a protective mask, while the majority of the complaints of the establishments concerned the persons in charge of the premises, who did not have safe passpass.

Also, the managers of two other premises were reported for non-observance of controls, regarding the validity of safepasses at the entrance of the premises.

District of Limassol

Yesterday, in Limassol, a restaurant was found to be blatantly violating the terms of the Decrees of the Law on Dehydration and based on the powers of the Chief of Police, a warning was issued to its owner, until Monday, January 17, 2022, where the case is expected to be filed. before the Court.

An out-of-court notice of payment of a sum of € 8.000 was issued to the supermarket owner, as there was no customer control at the entrance of the premises for safe passage.

Nicosia District

Extrajudicial notices of payment of money amounting to € 500 euros each, were issued to the managers of three premises (shop, cafeteria and kiosk) in Nicosia, who worked in the above premises without having a safe passpass.

Province of Larnaca

An out-of-court notice of payment of a sum of € 1,500 euros was issued to the owner of the cafeteria, since there was no customer control at the entrance of the premises for safe passage.

Paphos Province

In the province of Paphos, a total of four premises were reported, of which a file was formed for a Court. In an establishment (bar) the employee did not wear his protective mask properly. In the second premises (cafe-restaurant) the correct number of people at a table was not observed, according to the Decrees, and there was no duty register. In the third premises (bar) there was no thermometry of customers and staff and it was without a duty book.

Regarding the fourth premises, an extrajudicial notice of payment of a sum of € 500 was issued to the tavern owner, since there was no customer control at the entrance of the premises for safe passage, no customers and staff were thermometed, no persons were listed at the entrance, employee was without a protective mask and safepass, no entries were posted at the entrance and was duty free.
