In a new fatal road collision that happened today in Larnaca, 79-year-old Tryfonas Papachristoforou, from Larnaca, died.
Specifically, around 9 am. today, while a 42-year-old man was driving a concrete mixer on Griva Digeni Avenue in Larnaca, under circumstances that are being investigated, he ran over and injured a 79-year-old man, who at the time tried to cross the road.
The 79-year-old was seriously injured and was taken by ambulance to the Larnaca General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries around 11.30am.
The Larnaca Traffic Police is investigating the circumstances that caused the road collision.
