In a new fatal accident that occurred this morning in Larnaca, Rodotheos Skordis, 75 years old, a resident of Larnaca, lost his life.
As reported by Christodoulos Konsolos, Press Secretary of the Larnaca Police Department, "at around 07.25 today, Tuesday, February 11, a private vehicle, driven along Verrias Street in Larnaca, by a 75-year-old man, under circumstances that are being investigated by men of the Traffic Police Branch, lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it colliding with an adjacent parked vehicle on the road and overturning."
He added that "an ambulance and members of the Cyprus Fire Service were called to the scene where they pulled the 75-year-old unconscious from the vehicle. The ambulance transported the elderly man to the Accident and Emergency Department of Larnaca General Hospital where the doctors on duty pronounced him dead."
As Mr. Konsolos said, "this is Rodotheos Skordis, a resident of Larnaca. The Police are investigating the possibility that his death was due, at first glance, to pathological causes, however, the exact causes will be determined by the official autopsy that will be carried out at a later stage."
Members of the Larnaca Traffic Police Branch visited the scene of the new fatal accident and conducted the relevant examinations.
