The President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, will leave for Brussels on Wednesday, where he will take part in the work of the European Council meeting that will take place on December 10th and 11th, with Turkey-EU relations among the topics that will be on the agenda.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the President will brief the European Heads of State and Government on Turkey's illegal actions in the besieged city of Famagusta and on the ongoing Turkish provocations in the EEZ of the Republic of Cyprus.
Among the topics to be addressed at the Summit are efforts to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, Climate Change, Security, EU External Relations, Southern Neighborhood issues and issues related to the EU's relations with Turkey.
President Anastasiadis, who will be accompanied by Government Spokesman Kyriakos Kousios, will return to Cyprus on the evening of December 11th.
