A 13-year-old cyclist who was injured on Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident that occurred at the roundabout at the junction of Hellados and Evagora Pallikaridis avenues, in Paphos, is being treated at Makarios Hospital in Nicosia with a broken collarbone.

According to the press representative of the Paphos Police, Michalis Nikolaou, the 13-year-old while riding his bicycle towards the roundabout, heading west, collided with a vehicle which was moving towards Eleftheriou Venizelou Street.

The 13-year-old cyclist was injured in the traffic accident, Mr. Nikolaou said, and was transported by ambulance to the Paphos General Hospital where he received first aid. According to the treating doctors, the minor suffered a fracture of the right collarbone.

He admitted to him that it is a child, said the Police representative, he was then transported by ambulance to Makarios Hospital for treatment and further examinations.

The circumstances of the accident are being investigated by the Paphos Traffic Police.
