According to an announcement of the Organization, the KELS of OELMEK that met today, considers unacceptable, incomprehensible and dangerous for public health the content of the circular issued by the Ministry of Education dated 2/2/2021, which allows the return of its students / three C 'Lyceum in schools without the need to submit a negative result rapid test.
He notes that the above decision records a huge contradiction in the measures taken, since on the one hand rapid tests are mandatory for teachers and school staff and on the other hand the same does not apply to the majority of people who will be in schools, especially within the classrooms, ie students.
According to OELMEK, "this decision of the Ministry of Education endangers the health of teachers, students / students and their families, given that according to the World Health Organization" adolescents aged 16-18 years transmit the virus so often as well as adults ". At the same time, the decision jeopardizes the smooth course of high school students to the Pancyprian Examinations, as the possibility of individual students and / or the whole department being self-restrained increases, because the carriers of the virus will not be identified in time ".
