The Ministry of Education's preparation for the Pancyprian Examinations that begin on June 8 has begun a long time ago and "everything is on track," said Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Athena Michaelidou, noting at the same time that these exams are important but are not the end for students.
On June 8, "we will have around 5.000 graduates or final year students taking the Pancyprian Exams," said the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athena Michaelidou, in response to a journalist's question, on the sidelines of a visit to the 19th Primary School of Limassol for the delivery of air conditioners and the provision of breakfast, to see if everything is ready for the Pancyprian Exams.
"We attach great importance to these exams, since they are important," said Ms. Michaelidou.
He added that "I also want to get the message across that it's not the end. It's just a beginning for the kids who are sitting on the sidelines."
"It is one of their choices and this must be made clear to them and the message must be given to parents as well. Because unnecessary stress is usually created in these cases," he noted.
For our part, Ms. Michaelidou said, "we have been preparing for a very long time. I remind you that since January we have issued the regulations, the legislation, the program."
He noted that everything is on foot.
"There is always the possibility of mistakes, but there are always the necessary reactions on our part, for the benefit of course of the children who are sitting the exams," he concluded.
