75-year-old Dimitris Mavris, from Omidia, who was injured in a road collision on 07/06/2025 in Ormidia, succumbed to his injuries last night.
Specifically, during a charity cycling race, a bicycle ridden by a 38-year-old man, as part of the race, under circumstances that are being investigated, hit a 75-year-old man, who was trying to cross the road on foot.
The 75-year-old was initially transferred to Larnaca General Hospital, where it was determined that he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital for further treatment.
The Xylotympos Police Station is investigating the causes of the collision.
