The airlines operating at the airports of Cyprus proceeded to cancel the flights to and from Greece that would take place tomorrow (16/03).
The reason is the participation of the Union of Air Traffic Controllers of Greece, in the strike that will take place tomorrow in the country for the crime in Tempi.
Speaking to Mesimeri and Kati, the Press Representative of Hermes Airport Pieris Panagi said that due to the general strike in Greece, the schedules of the airlines that had scheduled flights to Greece are affected.
"A total of 13 arrivals and 13 departures are affected in Larnaca. In Paphos, two arrivals and two departures are affected. "Approximately 3 thousand passengers will not travel to Greece tomorrow, but they have been informed about the rescheduling of their flight either by the airline or by their tourist agent," said Mr. Panagi.
Asked if the passengers will be financially compensated, Mr. Panagi replied that they will have to see about this with their airlines.
"The strike starts today at midnight and ends tomorrow at midnight" Mr. Panagi said in closing.
