A total of 77.656 passengers were transported by Cyprus Airways in July, i.e. 70% more passengers than in the same month of 2022 during which 45.578 people were transported, while tourist arrivals in Cyprus are also expected to be high in August.

A statement from the company states that “last month the airline operated 548 scheduled flights, compared to 337 flights in July 2022, recording a similar load factor to last year. Compared to June 2019, Cyprus Airways carried 41% more passengers on its scheduled services and operated 25% more flights.”

Paul Sies, CEO of Cyprus Airways, said that “July 2023 has been a particularly busy, successful and important month for us. Last month we hosted the same number of passengers as we carried in all of 2021, a record number compared to previous years," he said.

He added that "in July, the new and advanced Airbus A220 joined the company's fleet. This particular aircraft, which entered service earlier this month, offers passengers an unparalleled in-flight travel experience while striking the best possible balance between passenger comfort, operational efficiency and our sustainability goals.”

According to Mr. Sies, "preliminary figures for August, the airline's busiest month, are very good and we look forward to another record month of tourist arrivals on our 60 weekly flights, from 19 destinations this summer."
