Incidents between occupying forces and the United Nations are taking place in the buffer zone in Pergamos, specifically in the Cayhan area, where there are 6 Turkish Cypriot livestock units with cattle, goats and sheep.
As the RIK correspondent in the area reports, the pseudo-police have recently been conducting patrols up to 10 times a day, with more people, seeking to change the status quo in the area.
Due to the situation that arose with foot-and-mouth disease, veterinarians could not enter the area, as the occupation authorities prohibited them from doing so.
For days now, Turkish Cypriot livestock farmers have been asking veterinarians to go to the area, however the occupation authorities are obstructing their work, even blocking the United Nations, which is being called upon to accompany the veterinarians to the buffer zone.
According to the same information, the United Nations today increased patrols and personnel on site, and the pseudo-police sent forces from the occupation army.
